Booking Your First Visit
We welcome new patients of all ages and backgrounds, aiming to make everyone feel at ease and cared for starting with their first visit. Booking your first visit is simple: you can book online, by phone at 416-267-6789, or via email at info@baldentalcentre.com. You'll receive a confirmation call within 2 business hours after your request.
Arriving at the Office
On arrival, you'll be greeted in a contemporary, calm welcome lounge with fresh coffee or tea and no pressure to rush. Our office is located at 4 Greystone Walk Dr #4, Scarborough, close to Greystone Park and Kennedy Station, with free on-site parking for your convenience.
Check-In and What to Bring
During check-in, you'll spend about 15 minutes on paperwork. We recommend bringing a photo ID, your insurance card (or details), a list of any medications, and any previous X-rays you may have. We'll review any prior X-rays from another office for free.
Your Health Review
We take the time to review your medical history, listen to any dental concerns, and talk about your personal goals for treatment. Your comfort and priorities are always our first focus.
Your Comprehensive Dental Exam
Your appointment includes a comprehensive dental exam, which typically lasts about 30 minutes. We'll take digital X-rays, conduct an oral cancer screening, check your gum pockets, and perform a detailed bite analysis. All findings are discussed with you in plain language, and you are encouraged to ask questions at any time.
Anxiety and Sedation Support
If you are anxious about dental visits, let us know. We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral, and IV sedation depending on your needs and comfort level. Just tell us how you feel, and we’ll go at your pace.
Treatment Planning and Your Questions
After your exam, we’ll create a personalized, written treatment plan for you to take home. This includes all recommended treatments, transparent pricing, insurance estimates, and the best sequence for any required care. Our goal is to provide honest feedback and helpful advice, never pressure. You’re free to ask any questions along the way, and you’ll leave your first visit knowing your options and estimated out-of-pocket costs.
Care, Communication, and Comfort
Our team is multilingual and welcoming, and we believe in supporting you at every step with friendly, clear communication and no judgment. The office environment includes private treatment suites, modern operatories, and details designed to reduce anxiety and make your visit as relaxing as possible.
Insurance, Payment, and Billing
We bill insurance directly and provide all treatment plan estimates up front, so there are no surprise bills. Bring your insurance details if you have coverage, and we’ll take care of the paperwork for you.
Preventive Care and Dental Cleanings
If you’re coming in for preventive care, we may recommend a cleaning and preventive treatments based on your current gum health and oral condition. Every step is discussed with you in advance, and we’ll explain when a cleaning will happen in your specific situation.
Emergency and Flexible Appointments
For patients with emergency needs, we offer same-day emergency appointments and prioritize urgent dental concerns. We’re open 7 days a week, with evening and weekend appointments to make it easier for you and your family to get the care you need.
After Your First Visit
At the end of your appointment, you are free to take your written plan home and consider your options with no pressure to commit on the spot. We want you to feel confident and informed before making any decisions about your dental care.
